Nesting?

I didn't think nesting was supposed to start so early... I just got a sudden burst of energy the last couple of weeks and I have cleared the new baby's closet already. The bedding just came in yesterday! Today, we finally ordered Emily's new bed, dresser, and nightstand! The baby will be getting her stuff! We had been looking for a couple of weeks, so we finally ordered it today. It should be ready in about 3 weeks, so hopefully we can get the baby's room painted by then. We went to Lowe's to pick out some paint as well for the new room! It's getting exciting! Here's sneak preview of the bedding.

Chocolate face!

We made brownies yesterday and this was her face after licking the bowl. You should have seen the rest of her! She had a great time though!

Little Tinkerbell

Emily loves to play dress-up! Lately, she has been wanting to wear this tinkerbell costume day and night complet with the wings and crown. I think this is her Halloween costume because she loves it so much. She also LOVES this Elmo since we went to see the Elmo show. She does not want us to put new batteries in him though.

School Project

Emily was so excited to bring her picture box to school Thursday. We had to wrap a box, then put pictures of her family on it. It took a little while, but it was a lot of fun! I wish I would have taken pictures of all the sides.

Girls Weekend!

Last weekend I met some of my friends in Hot Springs at Maria's in-law's lakehouse! We had a blast! They also surprised me with some gifts for the new baby. We had a wonderful time talking and talking! The weather was so perfect and we even got some sun. The picture above is probably the first picture I have with "baby Ella". Oh yes, we are pretty sure her name will be Ella. We are still debating the middle name, so I will post the name when we decide. We were going out of town today to shop for baby bedding, but we decided not to go because of Hurricane Ike. We ended up having a relaxing day at home and we went around looking for Emily some new furniture (the baby will get hers).

Dance class

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. I've been incredibly busy all week. I went to Fort Smith twice for a children's consignment sale, then I just got back from a girl's weekend to the lakehouse. My friends surprised me with some gifts for the baby, so I will post some pics from that later!

Emily LOVES dance class so far. She will not take her leotard off after she's been to dance. I'm so glad she loves it so much. School has been going really good! She loves going there! She has been the line leader twice already. What a big girl! They start on the alphabet this week and we already have a parent/child project to do at home. Yikes! I didn't know we'd have homework in preschool and I've been gone all weekend. I guess I will have to pull an all-nighter like in my college days. HA!

Last Day at Gymnastics

Emily's last day at Durham's Gymnastics was over a week ago. I took some pictures so we can remember our fun times with Mrs. Jennifer. I know Emily loved it there, but it was almost a 30 minute drive for me. There is a gymnastics place about 5-10 minutes from my house, so we are trying that place out for now. She is also trying out dance, so we'll see which activity she chooses.
