We went to see Go Diego Go Live this weekend at the Walton Arts Center! I thought it was a great show! Diego was excellent, but Dora could have been better! Emily was mesmerized by the whole experience. She really got into it. It was such a neat outing with our friends! We can't wait to go to another theater show! My friend Andi http://babyonthehip.wordpress.com/ took some really cute pictures from the show. I love the one of their backpacks!

Roy has been wanting to take Emily fishing since the day she was born. We both decided that 3 would be a good age to start taking her. He gave her a fishing pole for her birthday, so today we decided to try it out. She caught one on the very first try! She's a natural! We also enjoyed feeding the ducks while we were at the park until we got attacked by ALL of them. I was actually a tad bit scared of some of the geese. We were planning on going to the water park today, but it turned out to be cloudy and cool so we'll have to do that again.

Yes, it's my birthday and I don't know who else would write on here... ;) I came home from the hospital after having Emily on my birthday, so I'll always remember that. I've had a great day so far. We even got a little bit of swimming in with some friends. Roy is taking me out to one of my favorite restaurants tonight! Thanks for all the cards, emails, and well wishes!

I can't believe you are 3 today!!!! You had a wonderful birthday weekend. We had a birthday party Saturday here with tons of family and a few of your friends. You all enjoyed playing with the bubbles outside and then got to swim in your new baby pool with a slide!

Today we were going to meet some friends at the FAC pool, but we had to change to Fun City due to the rain. You still had a great time with your friends today! We are planning to take Emily out tonight for dinner and then ice cream! We love you baby girl! You are growing up too fast.

Roy and I decided to make Emily's cake this year. He actually helped me a lot. It took us a few hours to do it. ha ha It turned out pretty cute. I'll post more pictures from the party tomorrow!

One Week Countdown til THREE!

The countdown has officially begun! My little baby girl is turning THREE in one week. I can't believe it. She's no longer a toddler, but a preschooler. We started the celebration today with donut holes from Rick's. I had to get some things for her party and I had to get ideas for her cake too. It looks like the weather will be good for her party this weekend!!! YAY!!!

We can't believe you are almost 3 years old! Wow, time flies by so fast! I want to remember all the cute things you do, so I will give a quick update! You have been potty trained for a few months. You are doing such a great job! You care about others and love playing with your friends. You love to swim, play outside, and LOVE playing babies! You love going to gymnastics and just moved up a level to the Tots class where mommy doesn't have to go with you! What a big girl! You love to entertain us by singing and dancing!

Here are some of the things you LOVE: Dora and Diego, bubbles, swimming, dolls, taking Teddy and Toby on walks outside, playing with your friends, playing dress-up, bracelets and necklaces, anything princess, chips (and cheese dip), shoes, and wearing "pretty" dresses! ;)! You are a joy in our lives! You are really looking forward having a birthday party!

Update: Day 2 of our week-long celebration (just kidding really). We went to Larry's Pizza Parade with Julie, Ethan, and Hayden! Emily just loves them!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to a great daddy! We love you so much!!!! Thanks for all the hard work you do. We had a great father's day weekend! Emily made brownies for her daddy and we took him to dinner. We went to Fort Smith today to visit my dad (Poppy) on Father's Day!

Pool Party!

We went to Fort Smith this weekend to visit our parents. We also went to Natalie and Aaron's birthday party in Mansfield. Emily had a great time with the "big" kids. She loved swimming in the pool. On Saturday, we got to see Natalie perform in her dance recital! She did SO good! We are so proud of her. We are glad we could see her perform. I wish I had my camera that day.

Concert in the Park

We went to Gulley Park's concert Thursday night. As you can see, Emily fell asleep on the way there. She finally woke up at the end of the night. We'll have to make sure she has a good nap before we go next time!

1st Trip to the Dentist

In awe of this place
Emily went to the dentist for the first time today. It went as expected. They have a really neat waiting room! She really enjoyed playing the game room while we waited her turn. She was pretty good with the dental hygienist. She did not want to lay down on the chairs though, but she did let her brush, polish and floss her teeth. She had a little meltdown when the dentist wanted to look at her teeth, but in the end she did (while crying). ;( She still got a token for being such a brave girl and chose a ball as her prize. We hope it will go better in 6 months!

We went to her favorite restaurant after it (Chick-Fil-A). We got to eat outside with our friends Elizabeth and Jordan, and Melissa, Abby, and Bailey. What a fun day!
