Nick Jr. StoryTime Live

The show was packed, but Emily insisted on getting there as soon as possible. She was just a little excited!

Emily and I went to a show at the Walton Arts Center, Nick Jr. presents "Storytime Live". It was a great show! We went to dinner at Grubs before it because kids eat free and I used to love to eat there in Grad School. What a fun place to eat before the show! They had Moose and Zee from Nick Jr. doing skits before each act. It started out with Ni Hao Kai Lan, which was very cute, then a skit from the Backyardigans. Then, intermission where Emily had to eat her m & m's and water. Next act was the Wonder Pets, then our favorite Dora the Explorer! Emily actually was disappointed that I didn't get Ella a ticket. ha! I would love for her to come if I knew she would sit still for 2 seconds.

Spring Break day 2: PBS Kids Day

The second day of Spring Break, we stopped by the park with our good friends Lindsay, Lily, Colton, and Levi. It was pretty warm that day, but snow was still covering the ground. It was pretty funny to see the kids run around in short-sleeve shirts and snow on the ground. I forgot my camera out there though.

We stopped by the Jones Center later that day for the PBS-Kids Day. Oh my, was it crowded! We met our friends Andi, Brandon, and Lexi there. As you can see, Ella was not a fan of the dinosaur. We couldn't get too close to the SuperWhy team b/c it was a mad house! Emily was a little timid around Sid.

Day at the Library

Ella and I have been trying to make it to baby story time at the library on the days I'm off of work. Emily has been wanting to come with her, so on Monday I made sure we went because it's Spring Break this week! We went to Emily's preschool storytime after it as well. We had a great time and daddy came with us too! Then, we talked daddy into taking us to Rick's bakery for donuts (and lunch for the adults)!

1st Day of Spring?

We had a huge snowstorm that started Saturday, the first day of spring. It snowed throughout the day on Sunday and we ended up getting a foot of snow!!! It was beautiful (in the 70's) the day before. This weather sure has been crazy this year and winter didn't want to leave us. Let's hope that the spring weather is here to stay. It's supposed to be beautiful again tomorrow!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Emily saying "Top of the morning to ya"!

Emily and Ella both looked cute dressed in green yesterday. Emily had a fun day at school. They went on a hunt for gold coins and made Leprechaun hats. Of course, they did not get pinched. ;)

Sister Fun

At Harp's in the "race car" shopping cart. Emily LOVES this shopping cart and I thought it actually might be easier to put them both in this while I shopped. It is really difficult to steer it, but they had a blast!

In the ice cream truck "ride" at the mall. :)

Hairspray!

I'm a little behind on the blog, so I'm going to try to catch up some. Last Wed. night, Emily went to her first real Broadway show at the Walton Arts Center: Hairspray! I got the movie for Christmas (the one where John Travolta is the mom) and she has always loved that movie! She calls it "momma's movie" b/c there's a song in it that she loves called "Hey Momma". She LOVED it! She got very sleepy at the end and fell asleep, but had an awesome mommy alone time with me.

House!

We have had such a busy week! We finally got an offer on our house last week. We countered and they accepted!!!! We knew the time would come and didn't know when! We have had a few houses in mind and the top 3 choices were gone at this time. This house has always been on our list and the price kept dropping over the months. It is in a neighborhood that we've been wanting to move into for about 4 years... So, we looked at over 12 houses on all sides of the town. We kept coming back to this one. It does need some work inside (wallpaper on the walls which will need to come off, etc.). We'd like new floors in there as well. But, it had everything we have been looking for and it had a nice sized backyard. We made an offer Friday night. Saturday was a very long day for us. We found out 10 minutes before the time expiration that they accepted our offer!!!! What a relief! We've got the inspection to go through, then we will hopefully call it home in about a month. Let the packing begin. I will post pics on the inside once we're in there, but it has lots of potential to be a great house. We are just happy to finally have some space. We'll miss this house for sure b/c it has given us lots of wonderful memories throughout the 10 years we've been here.

Consignment Sale

There is a huge children's consignment sale up here twice a year. I usually sell some items every year and even worked a couple of times this year. This is one reason why I wanted to shop early. I got this toy for really cheap and also some really cute dresses too. I got Ella some cute Pedipeds and Stride Rite shoes for cheap as well. Ella LOVES this toy and Emily does too. I didn't find any toys for Emily there (and she doesn't need any), but she thinks this is hers too. Let's hope she doesn't break it so I can re-sell it. haha! It is chaos and some crazy shoppers are there, but I think I like the "hunt". ;)

1st Soccer Practice

Emily is starting soccer for the first time this spring. We had the 1st practice last Sat. She was SO excited about it! She got her uniform too that day and it is bright pink! More pictures after her 1st game.
