Party and pearls

Emily got to hold Ruth today at the Chez Ami party I co-hosted. Emily had a blast trying on new pretty outfits and playing with baby Ruth and Sydney. She kept telling the older girls that they were in "big trouble", so they did not let her play with them very much. She enjoyed giving the babies lots of kisses though.

Emily enjoyed wearing mommy's new pearls today! I was requested to show a picture of me wearing them, so hopefully Roy and I will get a picture together soon. Aunt Katie, she looked so cute in her outfit you got her for Christmas!!! I knew you'd love to see her in it! Emily says welcome back home Cita and Poppy. They have been off having fun skiing/snowmobiling in the mountains. Poor Nana is still very sick in the hospital. We are praying for her to get well soon. She made a little improvement this weekend and has been eating a little bit, so hopefully this is a good sign that she will not need surgery. Emily can't wait to see her again! I'm hoping to start doing a better job posting, but we were in Fort Smith this weekend helping Roy's mom in the hospital.

Prayers for Nana

Most of you know that Emily's Nana is very sick (Roy's mom). She's in the hospital right now and we're hoping that she won't need surgery. Please keep her in your prayers.

Weekend

Emily had a fun weekend. She went to Aunt Rachel and Uncle Blake's house Saturday and got to play with her cousin Ava! I didn't have my camera, but they looked so cute together playing. Emily took all of Ava's toys out of her basket and sat inside of it! Aunt Rachel made her some cookies too! She was asking to go back there today! Mommy and daddy got to go on a date while she was over there! Thanks guys!

Emily has been surprising us with everything she knows! She knows all of her colors and shapes now! She can say her alphabet and can identify some of her letters! We're so proud of her. She is ready to go to "school". We keep telling her that she has to go potty in order to go to school, so hopefully that will help motivate her more. I sent her registration form to a preschool that I want her to attend, so hopefully she'll get in (there's only 20 spots). You would think someone as intelligent as her would go to the potty, but she's very stubborn. Yesterday, I asked her to draw a circle and she did!!!!

Today she asked to go to Ava's house and Cita's house. I wish we could go every day Emily! She has a cough still, so we stayed home all day in hopes that she will get better. So, she played her favorite game-dress up! One picture was from when she was about 6 months old since I need to throw in some old pics every now and then. ;)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Emily has been enjoying Valentine's day! She woke up to a balloon, candy, sparkly shoes, and They Might Be Giants cd! She's also about to get heart-shaped cupcakes as a snack when she wakes up from her nap. I got a beautiful pearl necklace, a rose, and chocolate! We are going to make daddy a nice dinner tonight!

Gymnastics

I actually had my camera with me for once, so I took a few pictures at gymnastics today! We went to Fun City for a Valentine's Day playgroup. I didn't feel good, so we had to head out early. :( I hope she doesn't get sick again b/c she just got well last week!

Too funny!

This is where I found Emily one night! Her favorite thing now is to wear "pretty dresses".

Valentine's Day party!

We went to a Valentine's Day party at Fun City with the Fayetteville Mom's Club. She got her first Valentine cards that day!

Welcome!

After months of enjoying other people's blogs, I have decided to create one myself. I hope we can reconnect with lost friends, as well stay connecting with our friends and family! So, please comment if you'd like! We'd love to hear from you!

I'm a part-time stay-at-home mom and part-time speech-language pathologist. I absolutely love BOTH of my jobs. We have one little girl, Emily, who is 2 1/2. She is the joy in our lives who arrived June 23, 2005. We also have 2 toy poodles, Teddy and Toby. I would love to scrapbook, but this may be the closest thing to it right now.
