Go Hogs Go!

We're excited that football season is starting around here! Emily and I picked these out at Rick's Bakery yesterday. I thought they were so cute that I had to share. My mouth is watering right now.

Baby Update!

Emily will have a baby sister! I know she's very excited because she has said it is going to be a sister all along! We are thrilled and very glad that the new baby girl is healthy! We are very blessed. We are pretty sure we have a name picked out, but we are working on a middle name. We'll post as soon as we decide! I'm also looking for new baby girl bedding. I have an idea what I want, but can't find it just yet.

1st Day of Preschool

Ready to go home!

Getting a little scared walking in the building.

Emily's first day of preschool was today! She was very excited this morning when she woke up. However, when we got there she got a little teary eyed and said "Mommy come back?". She used to always say this at the gym daycare, then she got used to being dropped off there. I think it was a good thing that I did start with the gym daycare b/c it made today easier. The teacher said she did great and did not cry. Emily was in such a good mood when I picked her up. She told me it was a "good school". How sweet! I know she'll be ready to go back Thursday!

Elmo Live!

Cita and I took Emily to see Elmo Live! Saturday! We had a blast! Her friend Jordan was there as well. Emily really liked to dance to the music and loved seeing Elmo. We even took her to Chick-Fil-A after the performance. What a great weekend!

Happy Preschool Cake!

The finished cake!
"Ta-da"

Sprinkles!

My mom and Emily made a cake this weekend. We used it to celebrate her going to preschool! Now, she is really excited about going. We even sang "Happy Preschool" to her. It was so much fun and not to mention yummy! The finished cake looked like a Barbie skirt! SO cute!

New Favorite Restaurant

Our new favorite restaurant in town is now Jason's Deli (actually more mine)! She still prefers Chick-Fil-A, but because I have a taste aversion to chicken since pregnant, this is where we end up! haha We met my parents here last weekend and had a tasty ice cream for dessert (sorry, I'm a little behind in posting).

Preschool Open House

Brandon and Emily watching the fish
Emily and Bess playing with the dollhouse

We got to meet Emily's teacher tonight! She was very apprehensive at first. She finally warmed up to everything after she saw the Dora dollhouse! We could barely get her out of there! :) I didn't get a picture with the teacher, so hopefully on her first day Emily will cooperate. I'm afraid there will be tears though. It's a really neat classroom with different centers and they follow the preschool curriculum. I can't believe it's taken us 3 years to finally put her in a Mother's Day Out program. She "almost" went every fall, but we couldn't let our baby go. Well, it's finally time! I bet she will have a blast because she knows at least 4 kids in her class and probably a couple more in the other class when they play outside. I just might get teary eyed Tuesday. I'm planning on doing the kindergarten screenings at the school I work at, so that will keep me busy until I pick her up.

My little dancer

Emily got her tap shoes Friday! She was so excited that she did not want to take them off the entire weekend (literally). She wanted to sleep with them and even wanted to wear the leotard and shoes out to eat (no, we didn't let her). We finally hid them because I'm afraid they will be worn out before her lessons. haha She wore her ballet shoes around today.

I'll be working on my therapy schedule this week, so I'll know which day I can take her to the lessons. I'll post pictures from her lessons some time!

Olympics gymnastics

I LOVE watching women's gymnastics on the Olympics. Even though we did not get the gold in the end, silver is still a great honor! Let's face it, these girls are amazing! I can't wait to watch Shawn Johnson and Nastia in the all-around competition. They are awesome! After Alicia fell TWICE, I knew our hopes of gold were gone. It's disappointing, but bless her heart. I hope Shawn or Nastia will bring us gold (if they stay in bounds).

U of A

We took Emily to the U of A Friday evening. We wanted to show her our names on the sidewalk. After seeing her daddy's name, she fell and scraped her knees pretty badly so we didn't make it to mine. :(

Jordan's Birthday Party

Emily and Jordan, the birthday girl!

Emily and Brooklynn

Emily's good friend Jordan had her 3rd birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese Friday. We had a great time! Emily was a little afraid of Chucky and the characters at first. We had a great time with our friends!

Gulley Park Concert

I'm a little behind in posting... We've been a little busy with some playgroups, but I didn't have my camera. Last Thursday night we went to the last concert in the park. Oreo Blue was playing and Emily loved to dance to the music!

Tea Party

On Monday, I took Emily to a tea party at our library. They have a really neat program in the summer for preschoolers. It was so neat! All the kids dressed up, they had story time at first, talked about manners, etc. They ate petit fours, mini quiche, cream puffs, grapes, teddy grahams, and rasberry tea. They had a hostess at each table who "waited" on them. It was so cute and Emily loved it!

Baby Update

I went to the doctor last Thursday. We heard the heartbeat and it was around 150 beats/min. I love hearing that sound! My ultrasound is August 28th! We'll find out if Emily will have a baby brother or sister! We can't wait! I just pray that he/she is healthy, so I really will be excited either way.

Favorite Pic

I was looking at my pics from the trip and saw this one! I think it might be one of my favorites. I'm thinking of getting it enlarged, so I had to share. I also like one of her looking at the camera in her white dress (see below with the beach pics).
