WAY TO GO!

Emily is almost completely potty-trained!!! We have gone a week with no accidents!!! I never thought I'd see this day, but I'm so proud of her! I actually won this potty through a local magazine and it came in this week. She loves her new potty. We're still not 100% trained, but she goes all day without accidents. We still put a pull-up on at night, but that is fine for now!

Ridin' in Style!

Don't worry, I put on my helmet Cita and Poppy!

We finally had a gorgeous weekend, so we decided to get out the bikes. We got the bike trailer as a Christmas present from my parents, so we've been anxious to use it! We had a great time riding! We went around the blocks a few times, then stopped at the park down the street from our house. Then, went across the highway (scary, I know) to another big neighborhood. Emily was exhausted after riding so hard that she fell asleep on the way home!

Birthday Parties Galore!

Emily is right by the instructor. She loves the parachute!

Dancing and singing in the mirror

Sorry it has been such a long time since I last posted, but we've been very busy. She's been to 3 parties since last weekend!!! Apparently, all her friends were born this month because we have 2 more planned in a couple of weeks! ;) She has really been enjoying going to them, so now I need to decide if we are going to have a "friend" birthday party this year. We usually have hosted a playgroup for her friends around her birthday and have cupcakes, but maybe I need to do something else this year?? hmmm, I'll have to think about it. I only had my camera at one of the parties though, but it was at a dance place here in town. Emily LOVED it!
She has been going to dance class once a month with the mom's group I'm in, but we may need to look into doing more in the fall. I started taking dance when I was 6 and loved it. I just think she's so young, but most of her friends are already in dance class now. I think it's more of a creative movement class than "real" dance class, until they are 5. Emily is very much into singing and dancing, which are 2 of my favorite things! Maybe she'll be the next Broadway star I always dreamed about becoming! haha

Happy Easter!

Emily had a wonderful Easter! We woke up early to find that the Easter Bunny left her some treats and hid some eggs. Then, we went to Fort Smith to go to church with Cita and Poppy. We went to an Easter egg hunt after church. It was very cold outside. We had an indoor egg hunt at Cita and Poppy's house. She loved opening the eggs to find "treats" inside. She especially liked the ones with money in it. ; ) After a wonderful lunch and a nap, we went to Fort Chaffee. We saw a little bit of daffodils on the side of the road, so we stopped for a photo. We hope to actually make it to the Wye Mountain Daffodil Festival next year.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, we went to Aunt Rachel's house. Nana and Grandpa were up there that day. We got to have lunch with them, then Ava and Emily had an Easter egg hunt outside. It was a little bit chilly, but Emily had a great time!

Fun Day

We had a great week before Easter! I was on Spring Break, so Roy and I got to do things with Emily as a family. He usually watches her on Thursdays and Fridays when I work because he is off those days. We took her to see Horton Hears A Who. It was a really cute movie and she loved getting her popcorn, soda, and fruit snacks. After it, we took her to IHOP to get her the JoJo's breakfast.https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidnQQmgaTjDnuwP583wEuv6fShGFf7qgl4DYEmiVBMBIVXGlolDjS88GCJGoJcpaxIIsfIHlpST4gGgJMqBHUzGVDZcO607e_D3hwLcKat4VtqO90zkjutVIk5MiY6KgNThtEJtPAomZRN/s1600-h/whocakes.bmp It came with green eggs + ham and a mountain of pancakes with pink/purple syrup, sprinkles, and a lollipop on top! What a great day! On Friday, we went to Lake Fayetteville and had a picnic. She got to play on the playgrounds on both sides of the lake! Then, we had yummy ice cream at the new Cold Stone Creamery.

Palm Sunday

Emily wanted to wear her blue sailor dress AND hat to church on Palm Sunday, so I had to take a picture. I forgot it was the long mass, but she made it through it. She was a little fidgety, but quiet. I treated her to chips and dip after church for being such a good girl. She also was being rewarded for doing such a good job potty training! We're almost there!!! :)
