July: Part 2 (Great Wolf Lodge- KC)

Our big summer trip was to Kansas City for a long weekend.  We left on Thursday and got into Kansas City around 1:00.  We have been wanting to stay at a Great Wolf Lodge for a while and they ran a great special rate on the Kansas City location, so we decided to explore this city.  We really enjoyed our time there.  I have some more pictures with my other camera and will post them soon when I download.  Emily and Ella loved going up and down these slides.  The other areas were fun as well, but this was their favorite.

July- Part I

4th of July

 We had swim lessons at the Swim Ranch the week of July 4th!  Both girls did great and Emily finished Lane 1 this summer!  Yay!

 On the way to Little Rock, we stopped at Hendrix in Conway.  We saw my name on the fish pond, but didn't get a good picture of it since it was SO sunny and hot.  We showed them my old dorms too.

 Great-grand Mimi's 88th birthday "surprise" party!  The girls had a blast, but it was way too short.

Vacation Bible School

Last day of school

We are nearing on the end of the summer, but had to post these pictures of the last day of school.  It makes me sad looking at these.  She had a great teacher and made some really good friends.  I hope some of them are in her class next year!

Update

 I took Ella to a trial class at the Little Gym.  She loved it!

1st haircut at a hair salon (not by us).  Emily was so scared, but ended up loving it.

 Emily's dance recital was June 4th.  She was in three dances this year.  She did a tap dance to Glee's "Express Yourself", jazz dance to "Freak-A-Zoid", and a very pretty ballet dance to a Miley Cyrus song.  She did SO good this year and was asked to join the Teenie Team dance team for next year.  We are going to the informational meeting about it this summer.

We have been very busy the months of May and June!  Whoo!  I'm hoping to get back to update now. 

Today is Emily's SIXth birthday!  I can't believe how much the years have flown by and I don't want to miss a second of it.  I hope to get better at updating the blog so I don't forget even the little things.

Easter Dresses

Emily's Girl Scout Troop had a fun Tea Party at the Botanical Gardens.  Since it was rainy and yucky on Easter day, I decided to dress them up in the Easter outfits to take some pictures that day.  It's such a beautiful place for pictures!
