Maggie Moo's

We went to Maggie Moo's Ice Cream last week with the mom's group.  They could have ice cream cupcakes and decorate them.  Emily and Ella had a GREAT time, but it was a bit crowded in there.  Maggie Moo made an appearance.  Ella was a little scared, but Emily got in the picture with Lauren.

Last Day of Preschool

Well, I can't believe it but Emily's last day of preschool was last week.  It is sad to look at the 5 years leading to this point, but she is ready for new and bigger things ahead of her.  It is a bittersweet day that she is about to leave all of her preschool friends and meet some new ones.  Emily loved her 2 years at The First School.  It was a fast 2 years as well.

Ella had a great time this summer there as well.  We just found out she got into the Fall program, so we are excited that she will continue there.  I am a little sad that I can't spend as much time with Ella as I did with Emily the same age.  Ella loved going to the school this summer, so I know she will enjoy her time.  I might have a great opportunity with a big school district around here, so I am going to pursue that.  We also have a new (bigger) mortgage and bills to pay. ha ha!   I will be done in time to pick them up from school though and I am planning on having most Fridays off.

Tea Party at the Library

With her friend Lauren from preschool.  They had a lot of fun together.
Listening to strories about tea!
Emily having "tea" at the library and using her manners.  They had petit fours, quiche, grapes, cream puffs, and cookies.  This is Emily's 3rd year to go to the tea party at the library and unfortunately it is her last since it is part of the preschool story time summer program for 3, 4, and 5 year olds.  I will have to remember to sign Ella up when she is 3.  Emily had a blast and enjoyed her rasberry tea!

Beauty and the Beast

Emily had a little mommy time (July 31st). First, we did a little school shopping. She picked out some shoes she wanted for school. By they way, those are stick-on earrings she has on. She wanted earrings for the show, but she is very scared to have holes in her ears. ;)
She wanted chips and cheese dip (her favorite!). I haven't been to Q'doba in a while, so we went there. She really enjoyed it! Then, we headed to our favorite ice cream/yogurt place Orange Mango. Yum!

Then, we headed to see Beauty and the Beast. It was a wonderful show! Emily really liked it! She loved the "Be Our Guest" part the best. She LOVED Belle as well.

Andy's Tour

We went on a tour at Andy's Frozen Custard recently with a mom's group I'm in. They let each child make a sundae. We had a great time with our friends! They made us all wear hats, as you can see.

Dallas Trip

At the Wine Therapist. I think they were both at the end of their road at this point! It was so neat to see it. I wish we could have stayed for some more wine though.
At cousin Phillip's house. We put on his baby sandals and they fit Ella! Here she is showing them off. She thought she was so cool wearing these Roman sandals. :)

This is Ella throughout the store. She would give all the babies kisses and hugs. :)

We had brunch at the American Girl Bistro since Emily loves breakfast food (especially eggs and bacon). They brought out mini strawberry muffins before for us to munch on. Everything was so cute! They had little chairs for the dolls and brought "drinks" for the dolls too. I thought it would be a small amount of food, but they did give a lot!

Ella feeding Bitty Baby. She LOVED this too!

Emily with her "Emily" doll giving her a drink. You can tell Emily was in HEAVEN!

Wow! So overwhelming!

American Girl store in Dallas. Every girls dream store (or would have been mine when I was younger). These dolls came out when I was in high school, I think.

We didn't go to the beach this summer, but we did have a blast at the hotel pool!!! We had a great time on our mini-vacation. We met with some friends and family, plus did some great shopping! I LOVED Crate and Barrel!

Swim Ranch (last day)

Swimming by herself in the deep end on the last day of swim lessons. What an accomplishment of my little scared girl!
