We watched Ava Saturday, Emily's cousin. They had a blast together! Ava especially liked the Gerber version of Cheetos we got for her (and Emily too) as you can see here. We hope to watch her again soon!
This was actually taken one week ago, Sunday March 9th. It turned out to be a nice day, so we stopped by the Boys and Girls Club for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. We had a good time. She enjoyed getting her face painted, decorating cookies, and eating ice cream. Enjoy the pics!
Emily was stylin in her green today. It's hard to believe that this is her 3rd St. Patty's Day! I've included pictures from her 1st and 2nd ones to see how much she's changed. I can't believe she can still wear the dress from last year. :O) Andi and Brandon came over today. Andi brought a craft for them to make. Then, they ate green cookies and cupcakes. Yummy!
My friend Julie's little boy turned 5 on Friday! He had a birthday party at Pump It Up and it was a blast! I have known Julie since the 7th grade, then we were roommates all 4 years at Hendrix College. She moved up here a week after Emily was born, so it's been so nice to have our kids grow up with each other! Ethan is like a big brother to Emily and he has a younger brother Hayden who Emily loves. Happy 5th Birthday! We had so much fun with you on your special day! We can't wait to come over next week to play on your new playset!
We had a little bit of snow Tuesday morning! By the time we got out to play in it, half of it melted. It was snowing a lot Thursday at the school I work at and they finally cancelled school at 1:00, but it wasn't snowing at all once I reached Fayetteville. The school was closed on Friday, so I got a little bit of a break! We are so ready for Spring!
I have a few things to catch up on this week. First of all, she was able to ride her tricycle last weekend when it was so nice out. It was so funny because she had to wear her helmet. Cita and Poppy will be so proud! She also was yelling at me to help her on her tricycle and then said "ayudeme" (help me in Spanish). I guess she is learning something from Dora and Diego! :)
The last couple of days have been wonderful here! Today it was over 70 degrees! I absolutely love this weather, but it's supposed to get cold again in a couple of days. We went to the park today. I forgot my camera, but I took one before we left. Then, we headed in the backyard to let Teddy and Toby play. Emily got to enjoy her sand table again! I can't wait until it's officially spring! As you can see, Emily has to wear a "pretty dress" all the time! The only time I can get her to wear pants is when we go to the park. As soon as we got home, she was ready for her dress! I don't know where this girl gets being so prissy because I only wear a dress once a year-Easter!
I've been super busy trying to finish up my tax stuff and tagging items I'm selling at the Rhea Lana children's consignment sale! I wanted to take a short break though. :)
I found out yesterday that Emily got into the First School preschool program! She'll be going Tues/Thurs in the fall, so we have really been trying to get this potty training going. She has done so good, but has had some accidents. Let's hope by August, she'll be ready!!! I'm applying to a couple of other places as my back-up! :)
Roy and I have been married since October 9, 1999. We have two beautiful girls, Emily Catherine (born June 23, 2005) and Ella Grace (born January 13, 2009)! We also have 2 poodles, Teddy and Toby.
