June: Part 1 (dance recital)

 We enjoyed a great morning at the Farmer's Market.

 We went to a fun Cowgirl birthday party way out in the country near St. Paul where I used to work.

 Emily LOVED this little pig.

We stopped at Terra Studios on the way home.  I've always wanted to take the girls here.  I would go past it and think about taking them every time I would drive past it on my way to work.  It was almost closing time, but we will have to go back when it is cooler.

Last Day of School

 Emily was in a program at school on Fun Field Day.  Their class did a sock hop dance.

 Last day of 1st Grade.  :(

 Ella's last day in the 2 year-old classroom.  She is moving up to pre-k next school year!

 Emily at the Awards Ceremony at school.  She won the Spelling award and Achievement in 1st Grade.  We are so proud of what she accomplished this year!

This is the reason why I try so hard to make it work for her to go to this school MW and now Fri in the Fall. She absolutely LOVES these girls in her class!  She also loves her other school and is excited that Evie will be going there in the fall.  More to come...

Disney On Ice

We went to Little Rock to see Disney on Ice this year with Ava, Aunt Rachel, Nana, and Aunt Katie!!!  We went to eat at Purple Cow first and the girls got a purple milkshake.  Then, they all got dressed in their princess dresses.  Ella was mesmerized the whole time!

Performances

 Ella's Jitterbugs Performance!  She did FOUR dances and was adorable!!!  She really wanted to take dancing, but I just wasn't ready for her to do it yet.  Her school has a fitness/dance class that is extra, but you have to be 3 years old to do it.  So, when she turned 3 in January I asked if she could try it out.  She loved it and the teacher said she did really good even though she was the youngest.  She still talks about it and wants to be on stage.  She was a pirate in one dance (Wiggles Caption Feather Sword song). Below is the L.O.V.E. song, Splish Splash with a towel (her favorite dance), and skirt and hat for Footloose.

 Emily was in the Dance Club at school for the month of April and in May they had their performance at the End of the Year School Dance!  She was SO good and had a great time!

Farm Friends

We took the girls to Farm Friends back in May.  Emily has gone with her preschool and kindergarten classes previous years, but Ella hasn't gone yet.  We took Emily when she was Ella's age (wearing the same outfit Ella is wearing, yes I remember those things).  They had a great time and they ran into some friends there too!
